I love photographing families in the spring time. Everything is fresh and new, including everyone’s attitudes. Everyone is so thrilled to just be outside in wonderful weather. In spring we don’t always get wonderful weather and it can be interesting watching the skies throughout the day. On this day there were storms all around, however we lucked out. Not only was it clear and dry at our location, but the rain waited until we were finishing up to start. It is also a time of year where we are so grateful for rain.

I also LOVE Spring colour. Not only are the flowers blooming, trees budding and getting their leaves and the grass growing, but everyone feels colourful, and this influences how they dress. There are so many bright colours. I love photographing children in colour. Lots of colour. It is so bright and fun, just like them. This family brought along their own blanket to the session which added even more pops of colour. I loved it. The more colour the better.

Photographing a one year old and a three year old is another one of my favourite things. These ages are so amazing. I love how they don’t hide anything. They show it all on their faces. This can mean amazing big smiles and sometimes a few other faces. I do everything I can to ensure that everyone stays as happy and content as possible. This means that we take breaks as needed and we allow as much time for snuggling as we can.

These two sweethearts had a great time at our session. I can’t wait to share the video with you so you can see how much fun we had. For now here are just a couple of shots to check out how cute these two are, just look at those smiley faces!
