I hope everyone is having an amazing 2016. WE have been having an amazing year. One think that I have wanted to be sure to appreciate this year was our amazing out doors. Living in Calgary, we are so fortunate to have so many amazing outdoor spaces to appreciate and have fun in. It has been a crazy January and I can’t believe it is already February. Here are some of my shots from early in the year.

We celebrated the new year with some of our favourite people, and got in an amazing day tobogganing to boot.  This handsome young man turned 10 just a couple of months ago. I can’t believe the difference a year makes. He is growing in to such a wonderful person and I can’t wait to see what the next years bring for him. 

I shared more from this glitter photo session earlier, but I couldn’t help but include it here as well. This is one of my favourite images ever!

Our toboggan trip only had one casualty and one trip to the emergency room. Not the greatest way to start the year, but everyone is o.k. and The children’s hospital is always so amazing.  This little lady loves to read! A girl after my own heart. She would read morning noon and night if she could. The flash light is a much needed accessories if you plan on reading long after light’s out.  Jumping on the furniture, just let me get my camera – ah the life of a photographer’s child. 

One of the greatest joys for me as a photographer is being able to capture memories of my own children, especially as they grow older and are becoming their own person.
