So I am a little late posting my week. I hope you all had a fabulous thanksgiving. Had a crazy week, but I lucked out for my daily photo. I headed to San Antonio, Texas for a great photography workshop. It was a comprehensive course that covered some technical things and that also want deeper into why, as photographers, we do what we do. I have always known that photographing families is important and valuable. I love photographing families in and around Calgary. I don’t only love the act of taking the photos and editing (which I LOVE), but I also love creating a magical evening for families that they will have documented forever. What i took away most was that I do this job for you. For you the families that i photograph. For you the children that will have the love of their family captured in a way that is genuine and authentic and real. In a way that shows what family really is. I am so excited to share more of this journey of why I do this for a living with you.
Here is an image of my youngest getting ready for bed the night before I left. I knew I was going to miss them all so much. It is the everyday moments that I miss the most. The sweet kisses, the bedtime routines, the chaos that is home.
But what is a photography conference without some opportunity to take some photos.
Texas was so beautiful. As the sun wen down we were able to take advantage of the gorgeous light.
San Antonio was an amazing city, I had a great time!
