This summer was full of adventure, growth, excitement and we were on the go for almost the entire eight weeks. I was so proud of my kids for how hard they worked to make it a great for themselves and for our family. One of the things that has really brought us together as a family is mountain biking. We are so lucky here in Calgary to have several great locations right in the city and even more within a short drive that over amazing adventure for all. We took our bikes everywhere, up to Athabasca where we had spotted a great skate park last year, to camping at provincial parks, down into Fernie where they haves some amazing trails and a great skills park for kids! Now, one thing I am realizing as I write this is I did not take enough photos of them at their best on their bikes his summer – now noted for the next few times we head out before the snow flies. One thing that we love about biking with our kids is that it gives them the opportunity to push themselves to new levels every time we head out. They are so proud of themselves every time they try a new trick or make it down or up a hill that has beaten them in the past. And we are able to spend out entire bike encouraging and supporting each other. It brings us together as a family. Nothing makes me happier than when three of my kids are cheering on the one who is a little cautious or a little nervous then they try something new and everyone cheers together!
