What a week, what a week! We started by finally getting our mountain biking as a family. It has been such a great spring, but we hadn’t got the bikes our until this week. The kids love it so much and it is so great to see them having such a great time doing something Kevin and I love so much. I never dreamed it would be something we ALL enjoy. I take such pleasure watching them try something that they think is going to be difficult and succeeding when they were sure they couldn’t. We have a mantra at our home “If you think you can or you think you can’t, you’re right.” Even the littlest one gets it and he is days away from being full time on his two wheel bicycle! The weather got a little chilly and rainy last week, but that didn’t mean we couldn’t get outside. Lucy, in all her style and winter gear was the real trooper, this girl loves the outdoors, not to mention she was sure that umbrella could make her fly! We ended our week in our garden. After living in our home for nearly three years we are finally taking charge of our gardens. I am a lover of vegetable gardening. I don’t have patience for flowers, but I figure at least with vegetables we will get something out of all our hard work. The kids especially loved finding all of the little creatures hiding under all our rocks and in the dirt. Their favourite is always earthworms, the make earthworm homes for all their earthworm families. My only rule is they stay outside, worms don’t belong at the dinner table (this became a real out of necessity)
