My Style is natural, beautiful custom portraiture of your new baby and family. My goal is to deliver you images that are timeless and artistic. Newborns are my passion, I LOVE Photographing them. It takes a lot of skill to photograph these tiny people in such a peaceful way. One word used to describe me most at sessions is patient. I will do what it takes to make the babies comfortable and sleepy. I only book one session per day so my time with you and your new baby is never rushed. We can take as much time as necessary to make beautiful images of your new baby. With four children of my own, I am completely comfortable with new babies. Holding them, rocking them, making them comfortable before the shot is one of my favourite parts of the session. The newborn stage, the first two weeks especially, is such an amazing time (and can be such a blur). Your baby will never be this small, cuddly, sleepy, squishy or amazingly new again. I want to capture all of that for you, the tiny details that your stare at for hours, and create incredible images that with help you remember your tiny baby forever.
All newborns are photographed in the first two weeks after birth – please contact me before your baby arrives to book your session!
All Origins Studio newborn sessions include a complimentary maternity or 6 month session. Each session is held in your own home, making it relaxed and comfortable for all involved. The sessions can last up to three hours, taking as much time as we need to follow your babies lead feeding and cuddling when necessary. There is no need to prepare your home for the photo shoot, I bring everything I need with me for the session. It is a little surprising how much I bring with me, backdrops, wraps, hats, headbands and all other items all add up. Please don’t worry about cleaning or tidying for pictures. When you have a new baby there are definitely other thing you can do with your time. During our session there is not only time to capture beautiful images of your little baby, but we will also take the time to capture some of your first moments as a family. I am so excited to offer a great referral program as well, recommending me to family and friends is the highest compliment you can give.
